The Concerned Beauty and Barber Professionals (TheCBBP) and Politics Beauty and Barber (PBB) is a 2-1, nationwide organization for Licensed Beauty and Barber Professionals that offers continuing education in health and safety and advocates to strengthen the professional license.

History:

In 2011, after noticing the disregard for proper health and safety practices in the industry, the lack of advancement in health and safety standards and years of unsuccessfully searching for education beyond what she learned to obtain her professional license, Tamara Johnson Shealey, founded TheCBBP and PBB.

In 2013, as the Georgia Concerned Beauty Professionals, TheCBBP became part of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Youth Alliance.  In 2014, needing more support for Beauty and Barber Professionals, TheCBBP formed a Federal Alliance with OSHA and the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).  TheCBBP also became affiliated with various organizations and made available to Licensed Beauty and Barber Professionals advanced, up-to-date continuing education.

TheCBBP's mission is to ensure the health and safety of clients and professionals in salon and barbershops.
